Clinique “Acne Solutions” Clear Skin System
I was a bit skeptical about switching over to a foam cleanser when I am used to gel-type washes. I always had this feeling that foams can’t deep clean. I was pleasantly surprised. I helped remove dirt and didn’t leave my skin too dry. I did have to use more than suggested, about 3-4 pumps because I use all cleansers in combination with my clarisonic mia.
The Anti-Blemish Clarifying Lotion has become one of my favorite skincare products. It does sting a little when used because of the salicylic acid. It smells pretty strong and it does take some time to get used to. I use this with a cotton pad and just wipe away at my face. I love looking at the pad when I’m done to see anything my clarisonic may have missed. This is the best part of the treatment. I ended up buying the full-sized version and don’t go a day without using.
The Anti-Blemish Clearing Moisturizer smells much better than the other products. It goes on smoothly and makes your skin feel soft. It feels very light and has a non-greasy feel which is what most of us look for. It has acne fighting properties so it doesn’t hydrate the skin very well. If you’re feeling extra dry, you may want to wait a few minutes and then apply another moisturizer on top.
At the time, I bought this system my skin was in complete chaos and I am not sure what caused it. After using this for almost a month, I am happy to report that my skin has been restored to its previous condition. So, I would say it has worked for me in clearing and preventing my chaotic breakouts. I did not get an overnight or outstanding effect but it eventually cleared up the acne. In terms of the blemishes and dark marks, it has not cleared it per se but it has prevented further acne. I don’t think it has any effects on the dark pigmentation caused by the acne.
