Using a great wrinkle cream can make a huge difference in how you look, but we recommend you don’t stop there!
These lifestyle tips will also help you maintain great-looking skin.
Overexposure to the sun causes wrinkles. You can prevent that from happening by staying indoors between 10 am to 4pm. When you do go out in the sun, make sure you have sunscreen on that will protect you from BOTH ultraviolet A and B rays.
When washing you face, use mild soap. Choose brands that have moisturizers as part of the ingredients.
Smoking is a big no-no. Studies have shown that this activates premature aging or what is better known as photo aging, which is why someone in their 30’s can look like a person that is already in their 50’s. Smoking is a very hard habit to kick, we definitely know that, but we stress it here because it’s so important, for you skin and your overall health and wellness in general.
If you drink alcohol, kicking the habit, or at least reducing it, is a good idea too because apart from health related problems, alcohol causes dehydration. If the body does not have enough water, the skin becomes thinner making is sag. This is why drinking lots of fluid is good. Ideally this should be 8 glasses of water a day as this plays a key role in maintaining healthy skin complexion.
Aside from water, you should also maintain a proper diet. You should include 5 servings of vegetables and a serving of fruit in your daily meals. Some examples of these that are rich in antioxidants include asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cantaloupe, guava, papaya and pineapple.
Other things that can be used in your diet which are good for your skin include olive oil, nuts and whole grains. Fish is great as it contains Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
To complete your diet, you may also consider taking some supplements. They should at least give you sufficient amounts of vitamins A, B, C and E as these protect us from free radicals.
Exercise. This will not only make your muscles stronger, this will also help you maintain glowing skin. Doing your daily exercise will keep your blood flowing, bringing oxygen to your skin.
Finally, try to avoid stress! Things like meditation and deep breathing can help.
