Does the hype stand up to scientific scrutiny?
The manufacturers of LifeCell claim their formula contains a special ingredient that “magically” tricks the eyes in a way that makes wrinkles appear to disappear within 17 seconds of application. The reality of it is, there isn’t a magic trick, it’s actually the light-reflecting microtechnology LifeCell incorporates in their All-in-One cream.
Not many people know this, but the human eye can’t actually see a wrinkle itself. What it does in fact see, is the shadow caused by the wrinkle. Once said wrinkle is filled with light, there’s no shadow to be seen, which means virtually no wrinkles are seen. LifeCell managed to use this fact and manufacture an anti-aging cream that would achieve the illusion of light filling in a wrinkle.
Before the first application, I contacted the manufacturer’s customer service number to make sure there wasn’t anything else I needed to know before starting my treatment. I was lucky to be greeted by one of their “Beauty Consultants” who explained the proper way to apply LifeCell to get the best result. (Warm it up directly on your face and gently rub it in with your ring or pinky finger.)
Upon application, I was amazed by the instant results. My crow’s feet (a main area of concern) seemed to have disappeared. The beauty consultant let me know that the instant effect would vanish once I washed my face, but with continued use of LifeCell, I would begin to notice these results begin to last even after a thorough face cleansing.
I’ve been using LifeCell as directed. Twice a day, for 6 weeks. By now I feel I’ve gathered enough information and am qualified to give a final verdict on the product.
LifeCell is marketed as an “All-in-One” treatment. Making it an anti-wrinkle cream, skin tightener, an under-eye treatment, a moisturizer, a skin brightener, an age sport remover, and a makeup base. I’m happy to say it has replaced all of these items that I once had to pay $60+ each for. It’s completely invisible so no one notices when I’m wearing it, and it also allows for an easier makeup application.
Within these 6 weeks of testing out the product, I’ve noticed not only the skin on my face begin to look tighter and smoother, but also the skin on my neck. Our crow’s feet go unnoticed. Even the lines around my lips are nearly nonexistent. Other contributors to Skin Care Search not only experienced these results, but also saw dark spot and hyperpigemntation reduction. I, along with the staff here, couldn’t be happier with the results LifeCell has given us.
Negatives: The only negative I found is that since it’s supposed to be an “All-in-One”, it didn’t contain sunscreen which is essential in a skin care regimen.
*EDIT. Okay, after further research, we realized that if SPF was included in the formula, it would cancel out all of the anti-oxidants in the product.
-Product is scent-free.
-One tube is a little over 2.5 ounces, so even though I’m 6 weeks, I still have some product left!
-It’s hypoallergenic! So no matter your skin type or skin tone, you won’t encounter any issues.
-The manufacturer’s 120 Money Back Guarantee. If you don’t see results within 4 months of usage, they’ll refund you for the tube of cream.
As you can tell, I can’t recommend LifeCell enough. I love looking in the mirror and seeing the results of my investment. I get compliments from friends telling me how great I look, and even had a few ask if I’ve had a little “needle work” done. From the product itself to the customer service I’ve received whenever I’ve had to call to place another order, has been great.
